In a MEMORANDUM ON IDENTIFICATION OF ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE dated March 19, 2020, the US Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency stated:

“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

The memorandum further states that:

The attached list identifies workers who conduct a range of operations and services that are essential to continued critical infrastructure viability, including … food and agriculture, transportation and logistics…”

The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) has been instrumental in working to ensure that all state and local agencies include pest control services in any list of essential businesses that will be allowed to continue normal operational schedules.  During a March 20, 2020 webinar viewable here, https://www.pestcontrolcoronavirus.com/,  NPMA provided guidance for pest control operators during these difficult times.

“NPMA is doing its best to track shelter in place orders.  Click here to view a document that shows which localities have imposed a shelter in place order and also, which states, localities and agencies we have reached out to.”

Degesch America, Inc. is committed to help ensure the quality and viability of the world’s food supply and we will continue to provide the high level of quality and service you have come to expect.
