For many years, the grain industry has protected the quality of stored grain by eliminating all stages of insect infestation with aluminum phosphide. The gas is so active that it penetrates into all areas of the bin; and when the grain is turned, any remaining gas dissipates rapidly into the open air. It does not effect germination, malting or milling qualities.
